$5 dollars a day

"Do you know that if you save $5 a day and put them in a bank, teachnically you would have become a millionaire?" This is what i got from my boyfriend the moment i see him. Nicholas is his name btw. Thats really some food for thought.

As easy as it sounds, the discipline itself has the hard part. Let's make it this way, most of us are gulity of spending every cent we have on things we want like (mark me i said 'want') like handphones, bags, wallets, clothes and an expensive meal etc. To suddenly switch that habit and control the urge of buying 'wants' is just tough.

However i do want to be a 'tai tai' by the age of 40. Thats good motivation to start with. Don't enjoy being a 8 to 5 worker till i'm 65 years old. Have to worry about pension, work my ass off to please someone else. Really not a fan or that. Just met with Brian today as yup, the usual story, 'Man work suxs la'.

Since last year i've been twigging my mindset regarding money. My boyfriend and i are fortunuate to have known a self made millionaire. They are a husband and wife couple. So we were thought a few mindsets to how to guard our money and why so many people despite earning thousands a month can still end up in debts. For now i'm happy to say my wealth is starting to reap some results as compared to before. Still have alot of work to do so JIA YOU! =)

Still working hard to clear my bad debts for this year, apparently i'm like a loan shark lending money.

1st lesson learnt : Always clear you debts, be it you own people or people own you. I'm keeping track of my financials. Its a way of gurding my money, i used to forget that people own my money and 'weeee', money just fly away without me knowing.

2nd lesson: always pay yourself first. Most of our money are spend on paying off debts, buying stuff or what so ever. We often forget that we need to first pay ourselves. What do i mean by that? Meaning you put a side a certain portion of your money. Example 10% and make sure you dont ever touch it. Unless your using the money to earn money.

Still have alot but should stop for now. Starting to get too naggy at myself. Typing in seems to be reminding why i'm doing all these. For my future of course. =)

On a happy note, i'm glad people around me are taking interest on their health since my last post. Yup! i'm paying it forward.
